Subject: IS IT POSSIBLE TO RENDER AN OBJECT TO TRANSPAREN BACKGROUND?

I made an angel character and i would like to render it to a transparent background like a photoshop file or alpha channel, is there a way to do this? Thanks all : )

Save it as PNG, PSP or TIF.

Save the rendered image as TIF.

yes. Render to a new window with nothing in the background or against black, and save as a .psd (photoshop native), .tif, or png image.

...... and then in Photoshop go to the Channels window. You will see the Alpha channel that you can use as a mask.
