I don't use credit cards or have any on-line money (I know, I'm ancient, but I feel safer this way). I'll have to get a friend of mine to purchase any Bryce upgrade for me, so I'm waiting until there are enough new features I want before worrying about it. I don't have that much trouble getting Poser figures into Bryce, so paying $20+ for what little will be in the upgrade is not a necessity for me just now. However, if I was fairly new at it, I would be getting the plug-in.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

I usually pull stuff in and tweak the textures anyway. I did download the DAZ Studio Beta. Just wondering, will studio animations transfer to Bryce? That would be worth at least $20.

AgentSmith ( ) posted Thu, 24 June 2004 at 12:02 PM

THAT will be the real selling point, animations. Using it for stills would be alright and all, but once you can animate Poser figures in Bryce, automatically.... AS

Aye, but alas, as far as I know Bryce doesn't support any kind of real morphing. So, it would load in a Poser animation at BEST as a series of OBJ files, and at that rate one or two figures animating for a few frames would bring any Bryce render to it's knees... Not sure how they did it in Vue, though. Maybe it's possible.

The Mac plugin version will be available next week. Stay tuned... -scara

If it's possible in Vue, it's possible in Bryce. AS
