Is there something that converts a Bryce5 obj into a Bryce 4 obj?

you might inquire about that new "plugin" DAZ was selling in a few days after a few here have tried it. Don't know what that's about yet, but if the early reports are correct there was some mention of exporting an obj rather than an obp. That would be nice if I understood corectly, but since it's easy to mistype obps as objs it might have been just a typo somewhere up the line.

The plug-in from DAZ is for Bryce 5 to read obj and mtl files that have been exported from DAZ Studio. It has nothing to do with exporting from Bryce. If the original poster was referring to the 'Bryce obj' that you export from Studio, I doubt if the plug-in will work with Bryce 4. The obj file isn't the issue anyway, it's the mtl file that is different, if I understand it correctly. TC

Right, cause an obj wil import into either 4 or 5, but an obp won't

I have Bryce 4 didnt get 5 and the plug in yet but I loaded a pz3 into Daz Studio then exported it as obj when I loaded it into bryce it came in textured the only thing that didnt go automatically was transmaps and I had to play with the eye on vic3 otherwise it went fine...is this what the plugin is supposed to do cause I dont even have it yet?????????

Yewston posted Fri, 25 June 2004 at 6:24 PM

The plug-in also loads in the transmaps and avoids the white eye. TC
