I hope this is the right forum for this, and apologize if it is not. Does anyone know of additional canine characters to be had (free or for pay) that can be had for Poser? I'm looking for additional breeds besides those shipped with Poser. My thanks in advance.

Heya, Try going to www.dedicateddigital.com they have an animal kingdom CD and I know they had a few different dog types for free a long while back...they would be your best bet I think for reasonable pricing. Regards Eshal

heyas; dedicated digital has a guide dog (german shepherd), dalmation, and some puppies too, as i recall. occasionally they offer one as a free model. and i think they are changing their web setup so you can purchase individual models, rather than the whole cd. (oh, and if you want dog characters for poser, the poser forum is the best place to go :) )

Eshal & Bloodsong, Thank you both, very, very much!

Morphworld added a Rottie recently. :o)

Thanks, Chailynne! I got the Rottie from Traveller's site (and a GREAT pup it is, too!). PFO and Dedicated Digital are both temporarily offline, for what I assume are site rennovations/upgrades. (argh) These critters will be going into illustrations for my vet site and (fingers crossed) into a book on pet care which I am praying gets accepted by the publisher. It would be nice to be able to give folks like Traveller a boost outside of "non-Poser" circles, maybe turn a few folks on to Poser while helping them help their pets. Thanx all, for the help!

Ah, that's the original reason I got into this madness. Poser images of animals without the angst of having to use sedation. You know how publishing is, Peregrinator. The chances are about 98% that it will be rejected. At the very least, these images will appear on my vet site, which is STILL outside the realm of usual projects. As a matter of fact, I already have several Poser-rendered images there. However, the thought of helping out those who have done so much for us (like Traveller) gives me the warm fuzzies, heh heh. Thanx for the good wishes. "If a dog bites you, bite him back. Then run like hell."

As long as the medical aid was minor, that's cool My feeling is that Poser will be soon finding its way into the medical community at a fast pace. For example, Dedicated Digital (now offline for a bit) is planning the release of a "medical images" CD. I'm looking forward to see what will be on this. Imagine the hours of fun that will come from needlessly defibrillating a PoserDork or Posette! (snark) ("Hey? You OK?" "yeah..." "CLEAR!" "NO!!" zzzZAP) There is actually only one way to keep one's skeletal structure from deteriorating: Dropping dead. Everything else is just lip service and employment opportunity. Aren't we sliding way off topic here?? I don't want to get into any trouble.... :-P
