http://www.eclecticacademy.com/newclasses.htm#3Dmodeling For $20 you get a fully registered copy of Cinema4D 6CE and a course in how to work with 3D. The app came free with some magazines a while ago, but the price is about the same. Normally the render size of 6CE is limited, but you can render to a viewport at the size you like. I know Randy from over at Talkgraphics forums, and he is a very enthusiastic modeller. Thought I'd share this with you.

I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)

quick thingie without texturing (is explained by jddog here at R in the tuts section): export from Poser as an obj file, and set Edit>preferences>Import wavefront obj to some 150-250 as both apps use a diffrent scale.

I signed up weeks ago - even though I have C4D RX7. I've done a few other courses at EA which were quite disappointing so I'm hoping this one's better :-)

The Virtual Training Company has some great course. But, they're kinda slow with there releases. Right now they have a lot of stuff in production and Cinema 4D 8.5, is on their wishlist. They do however have Discreet 3DS Max 6 and Combustion online and I think they are excellent. They have Cinema 4D 6
