Subject: Feedback on a model

This is a toy soldier I'm working on for a school project. Ths model portion is done. I still have to put it into a scene with textures etc. This is the first model I've build other than from tutorials. Please give any feedback, ways to improve the model etc. Thanks, Ken

Looks good man! For a first model its actaully great! I bet getting those balls in the joints was somewhat a pain? One way to make using it easier later on is inverse kinimatics...this process initially looks a bit tough but its really easy to do. The advantage to it is if you are going to use the soldier a lot you can easily move him into lots of poses....just an ideal for you :) If you get board...throw him into free stuff...I think hes a great model for the upcoming holidays :) -brent

Very nice work. I suspect the textures will make him even more cool.... I was looking for something to suggest for improvement and the only thing I can come up with is the shape of the hands (and that's being really picky!). Will love to see an image with him textured! - Chip
