I bought a kit that has 1x 2x 4x and a macro which im guessing is 10.. i haven't got it yet. But i already have a 3x. Now i read that i can stack the 1x2x4xMacro all together.. do you think i should be able to stack the 3x i already had in with it.. and what kind of image depth would i get? Second.. if i get a 3x telephoto lens for my camera, and say it went from 55mm - 52mm with a ring adapter then the lens outside was a 58mm.. could i then take a 58mm adapter and screw on another telephoto for even more distance zoom?

I'm confused... are we talking about auxiliary close up lenses that fit in front of your normal lens?

Actually, it is suggested that you never use more than 2 filters at a time, because after that there can be tons of image distortion :(

OK. Now we know what we are working with. Lalani is the expert at this. I'd believe her.

Ohh, thanks Misha, but I only sound like I know what I'm talking about ;) I've read up on this subject quite a bit and most of the real experts suggest using only 1 or 2 filters at a time. Here are two sites with really good tutorials on macro photography, hope they help! http://azone.clubsnap.org/insectguide/page01.html (using the same equipment as myself!) http://www.mplonsky.com/photo/article.htm These are just examples of true macro masters ;) http://www.beautifulbugs.com/ http://www.pbase.com/mplonsky
