Greetings, I am modeling some things that will require the totalness (is that a word?) of Bryce4. CanI import them from carrara and have them work? will the textures still be there? (and now i am really pushing my luck) any chance IK relationships would transfer over? Thanks in advance, Zhukov

Not sure about the IK, but if you export as a .obj, things usually work out. Spanfarkle

I haven't used Carrara yet but check the file formats available from the file menus File| Save As... selection. there should be a dropdown box below the file window with file types in it IE; TrueSpace Cob (.cob) Autocad Dxf (.dxf) etc. If dxf is available then export a simple model and import it into bryce using File: Import Object... on the file menu. DON"T use Truespace Cob format as all "boolean" holes will be filled by Bryce. I generally model in a modal fashion. and export things by functionality group ie; foundation objects that don't change set the rules for all other parts, foundation objects that do change and all parts hung on the results must adhere to the rules you set with first base objects. Bryce is not very flexiable in positioning complex little sub/parts of the things you import so plan and be sure.
