Hi there, I had the same problem, until I turned off my color correction in Illustrator. I'm using version 7, but it'd apply to anything above 4.0, I think. A surefire way to get the colors you want would be to stick with a basic pallette in AI, then do your main 'paint-up' inside Flash, using its own color pallette. I know, I hate the color choices and the Flash picker is a pain to use, but if you're after accurate color, that's the best way to go. I've found CorelDRAW to be much easier to use, faster (not to mention more stable on a MAC) and can export AI format easily and corectly, as long you stay away from specific special effects. Also, line-thickness transfers better from Corel to Flash, and last I checked, you could also cut and paste directly from Corel into Flash, unlike AI.

Download the "Flash Writer" plugin directly from Macromedia's site. Its GREAT! It allows you to export your Illustrator files as .swf's with no color distortion.
