I'm quite intrigued by the fact that people still upload more than one shot a day. Is that because they CAN, or because THEY can, or just BECAUSE... well, you know...? :D

I have noticed that as well, would be interesting to see what replies are to this question too. TMG

Where the 'Member Options' drop down menu is, there is a link called My Services.
Here you will find:
Gallery Plus
Want more gallery uploads? Now you can have it. This service offering provides up to 3 uploads per day within the gallery feature. One time setup fee of $5 with a monthly $5 fee.
Hope this helps

Oh, so they actually CAN... :))) Thanks 'jimry', that clears things up... a bit.

Was wondering how they did that. Have to look more often at the members options more, thanks for the info! TMG

Even though they CAN, it still surprizes me that they DO. More than one world-class photograph/day, over any kind of long term, is amazing productivity.

Ah, yes. For you mere mortals, maybe...... Unfortunately my erm..... artistic.... pictures don't conform to TOS, so I guess my Art will remain..... undiscovered. (",)

My point exactly, Misha... :D
DHolman posted Mon, 05 July 2004 at 3:14 PM
Misha - Per day? I've been trying for 4 years to produce ONE world-class photograph. :) Jordster - You've been following the advice of the evil ducks haven't you? That's why your Art doesn't conform. Break free man!!! Break free!!!! -=>Donald

Ahem clears throat My god Donald everytime I view an image you have done, I am reminded that there are world class photographers right here in RR! :) And what makes you sooo cool is that you have a warped wicked sense of humor, a must have IMO! Brenda :)
DHolman posted Mon, 05 July 2004 at 9:19 PM
Brenda - thank you, but I know that the only reason you say such things is because you are blinded by my overwhelming good looks, impeccable charm and overpowering humility. :) Seriously, I've seen world-class photography and I'm not there yet. I'm better than I was last week and I'll be better next week than I am today, but I have a ways to go. I just glad I have a whole bunch of people here that I enjoy being with to share the ride. I go back into some of our earlier postings in the forum and galleries and then look at what we post on a regular basis now and it blows me away at times. -=>Donald

Good for me. I get overcome with the idea of loading up the image before the thing is done properly! This happened often before the "limit" was applied. The limit on uploads makes me now at least take a second look first. Is that me or what name to put beside a "nincompook" image?(This is not the writers forum so if misspelled, so be it with a slight embarassment.) Even I choose to pay and get more uploads, I have learned the lesson of eagerness before quality. For a somewhat middle novice, that is a good lesson, indeed. God Bless. TomDart.

Ummmmm Donald? I have yet to see your picture, so blinded by your overwhelming good looks I have not been. Now your impeccable charm and over powering humility as you say.... maybe! But one thing I have seen is your amazing images, and if you aren't there, meaning world class photography, you are damn close! Now just sit back and accept the pat on the back my friend, and know that yes, I think you are that good! So how about a portrait of yourself? Would love to see this man with overwhelming good looks. LOL! I just put up a new image of myself... took some courage and a little help but I did it! :) Brenda :)

You know about fotopages.com? There are people there who have uploaded thousands of pictures. But not necessarily as art: they can be a record of a life. And sometimes a series of a half-dozen pictures can form a greater whole.

Brenda - Yes'm .. sitting back (my momma always told me not to argue with crazy ... I mean, unique people). :) Thank you. As for a photo of myself, but that would ruin the whole overwhelming good looks thing. :) hehe ... ever see the amazing "We Are" thread(s) started by Jordy (link above)? I have a photo in there amongst the many. It also had one of my favorite shots of 'chelle; well, that was until she started running around the forest in her underwear. (oops, shhh...promised I wouldn't mention that again until the Mental Health Board had made their decision). -=>DonaldNiutek posted Tue, 06 July 2004 at 3:18 PM
Ehm... Brenda, Donald - sorry to interrupt you two... getting along so well... (nice to see you both, BTW - just took a look at your faces for the first time) :D but I wanted to reply to AntoniaTiger over there - please, PLEASE don't tell those people about Renderosity!!! :D Now seriously, I know sometimes a series of pics can 'form a greater whole' to use your words but... well, some people just don't always use the 3 pics option for that purpose... Anyway, if the site's policy is that you CAN post more than one pic, it's their right to do so. And even if I can't see much sense in that, it's just my problem, I guess. Not a very big one, either... :D
AntoniaTiger posted Tue, 06 July 2004 at 3:49 PM
Sure, I realise they're different things. But, if you want to post a series of pics, there's no problem using fotopages, and giving a link here. Me, I sometimes have a single picture that works really well, but I'm mostly working with a serial record in mind, And, come to think about it, I doubt all this stuff about artistic photography is quite what they had in mind, It's not really supporting the CGI stuff that's at the heart of Renderosity.

You know Donald I have seen that thread before, but I never made it to the bottom lol! It is nice to see a face finally thank you! And yeah I still think your work rocks my friend! And I know you didn't just call me crazy.... unique yes that I can accept! :) Brenda :)

Bear with me then for a few images.I took a few of around my city that I want to throw in because so many people from south think that Up in Canada we still live in igloos and have snow year round. Then I will try to seriously go for a world class shot.(Maybe in 25 years)
I want to work on a theme and try only to improve on it.
"The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the
absence but in the mastery of his passions."
JordyArt posted Wed, 07 July 2004 at 3:04 PM
dB, you mean you DON'T live in igloos?!? GASP! oh, and Don, cheers for posting that link, mate! It's good when someone does that every once in a while, it's pretty cool to remind ourselves what people look like.... :-) (",)
DHolman posted Wed, 07 July 2004 at 4:11 PM
Jordster - Don't listen to dB...you know how those Canadians are. It sounds like he's taken a hockey puck to the head and is probably sloshed on beer too. I'm sticking with the whole igloos and snow thing myself. Canadians. Sheesh. :)
