Hello everyone, Im just wondering if there is a special setting in the Apophysis program to rid the preview screen of the graininess? Thanks!

Hi - I'm not sure, but if you look under "Options" - "Display", there is a "sample density" under "rendering" that you might make a bigger number or try increasing the numbers in the boxes under "preview" density. Don't know if or how high you can make them, but I'm guessing if you do, the display will get really slow about changing when you move the triangles. Probably will have to exit and re-launch the program to see a change if it works. Just guessing here.... Rick

Hi Imagica1,

In the menu click on "options" then on the drop down menu click on "options". Click on the "display" tab. The settings here affect your preview windows. My settings under the "Rendering" column are 35, 2, 3, 1.3, 1, 0.2. (I think these are the default settings). Under the preview density column my settings are 1, 5, and 10. This affects the previews in the mutation boxes. Open the mutation box and right click anywhere there and make sure that "high quality" is selected. I find these settings give quite a good preview with hardly any gaininess. Just be aware that the higher the sample densities the slower the calculation of the flames. I really recommend that you go to the help file to learn more about these settings. Scroll down to "options" then click on "display options".

Hope this helps.
