Hi there. I've been working on changing a character's eyes from hazel Black Eyes to coal Actual Eyes 2 for Mac.
When I render the hazel eyes, the eyewhites have the veins properly mapped onto them. When I switch to Actual Eyes, however, the eyewhites have no veins, even though the Actual Eyes texture has veins in it.
I checked out the Actual Eyes 2 Marketplace page, and I didn't see veins on the eyewhites in the sample pics either. Is there a way - without postwork - to get the veins to appear (even faintly)? I'm using Poser 4 Pro Pack for Mac. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. -Mike

I have Actual Eyes 2 but haven't used it for quite some time ... I think it has something to do with the reflection or highlight setting being too high, if I remember correctly.

I don't have the eyes, but it could be that the textures on the black eyes have more veins painted on the textures and the textures on the Actual eyes have less veins. You can edit the texture yourself in photoshop and then load it back in poser. What I would do is open the actual eyes texture in photoshop then add the black eyes texture as a new layer on top of the other, then delete the Iris part and lightly around it so you don't delete the veins on the black eyes texture now you should have the color of the actual eyes and the eyewhites of the black eyes. you can also try to change the ambience or color a little to pink this might help make the eyes have some veins.

oidupaa ... ack, I don't have them installed any more and it would take me a while to find them on backups. Would it be at all possible to take a screen shot of the material used for the eyewhites? That might help.

Dash: that's a great idea! I've been using Photoshop and layers constantly as I've been working on a new face tex - funny that I didn't think of using it for this... I will definitely give it a shot! Deecey: I think it would be possible, but just to clarify: do you mean a shot of the eyewhite texture file itself, or a shot of the eyes as they appear in a render? Either one should be doable...please let me know! Thanks! :-) -Mike

Actually, neither ... I was wondering if you could take a shot of, or perhaps just let us know what the material settings are for the eyewhites (in the Material Editor or the Material Room if you're using P5).
