Hi, Can anyone please help me on texture mat files? I've created the texture maps, created a mat file to load them to the figure and all works well. But I want to include highlight color and size for the fingernails in it so they have a glossy look. Can't find how to put that in the pz2 mat file. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanx

Why don't you just save it as a pz3 file then you got it all. Sharen

In the material block the "KsColor" line controles the highlight color. The first 3 numbers in the KsColor line are the values for Red, Green, Blue, respectivly. A value of 1 represents full luminosity, avalue of 0.5 = 50%. Scale channels can be hacked into a MAT pose, the syntax is the same as for a rotation channel, except the default key value is 1 not 0 for a scale channel. The easiest way to make the pz2 you want is to use the free utility MAT Pose Edit (MPE). You would save a cr2 setup the way you want, open it in MPE, delete all the channels and materials you don't want, then save out a pose file. I have heard that MPE can be very slow when loading large cr2 files.

Thank you both for the prompt replies. After fiddling with poser for a bit I remembered that is how I made my mat files to begin with...sigh. I get so gorgetful sometimes.

Or do it the old-fashioned way (like us Mac users do it); set up the textures as you like them and save a cr2. Then go into text editor and delete everything but the materials block (and change the suffix to .pz2)

Oh my, I meant that I get so forgetful not "gorgetful.
Uh, yes I remember that I saved my files as a cr2 then removed all but the texture information.
I also use Mat File Builder sometimes. Don't know why all that slipped my mind this time around.
This isn't my first time of making mat files or morph pose files either but for some reason right in the middle of it, I simply forgot how to do it.
Anyway...a great big thanks for the help in jogging my befuddled mind.
