I've asked about PoserWorld before and subscrided there, it's excellent. I'm also looking at PoserStyle, seems interesting too. Anyone has experience with them and their stuff. I'd like to ask about the same questions as I did with PW. 1. Is a PoserStyle subsription worth purchasing. 2. Is the service at PoserStyle good? Can one access it good and are the download speeds acceptable? How about service? 3. Is the content at PoserStyle comparable in quality with PoserWorld's stuff?

You will get mixed response on this. It is not as good as PoserWorld, but it is good. Pros: They are still supporting M2 and V2 and not only the newest figures, their stuff is always good, the updates offer a variety of categories (clothing, pose sets, props, environments) the download speed is good. Cons: their server is down frequently, it is not updated as frequently as PoserWorld. They sell selected item as stand alone products too, so you will be able to pick wath you like without a subscription. Or you could wait until a lot of stuff is in their catalogue and subscribe then to maximize your money...

BTW as with PoserWorld if you subscibe now for the 6 months of your membership you will have access to the previously released products too.

I was a member of PoserStyle. I looked though their catalog of items and based my subscription on how many of the items I wanted vs price and I came out ahead. yea don't know what will come, it's hit or miss on releases that you may want, and with server issues, updates and other problems I did not resubsribe. The items in the back catalog are really nice and well worth a limited time subscription to grab those. However if nothing tickles your fancy in the back catalog, then I'd say it's not really worth it.

PoserStyle's products are top notch. Many of them are first-class.
On the other hand, PoserStyle's customer service is questionable at best.
I was a member of PoserStyle.
At one point, they changed their IP address (or something). For a while, typing in the address "www.poserstyle.com" did not get you to the site. As someone told me later on, you had to enter their new numerical IP address directly in order to access the site.
Over a period of a week or so, I sent repeated e-mails to PoserStyle, asking what was going on. I never received an answer back -- just silence.
Of course, it's possible that my three? four? e-mails to them never got through. I'll grant that much. But I did not experience any e-mail problems with other sites.....and I am a member of several websites.
I did not re-subscribe.
Poserworld is one of the best-run sites that I have ever had the privilege of doing business with.

They have great stuff. I was a member, and will be again sometime. But it was pretty hit and miss with server problems. I'll probably join again when they get some David stuff done.

PoserStyle is really good. Some of their models are actually required for Renderosity stuff, e.g. Serrge's Crusades II requires that you have the Immortal outfit from PoserStyle. Like Renderosity, PoserStyle do a lot of 'niche' models, and also figures which can be built upon built others, such as the MultiSuit for Michael, the aformentioned Immortal. The Hussar and Cuirassier models are really good, as are the textures. A good source for historical military figures. Bit short on props, though.

PoserStyle, Good Products, Poor service/site/server. Do a search on PoserStyle on this forum. It starts in April 2002, in May 2002 the site had problems, and the rest, (as they say) is history. Time after time the site is 'out of commission', and contact was poor. Lots of complaints about the site over the YEARS. For some reason they can't get their act together. If you don't mind the possiabilty of not having access a lot during your subscription time, then subscribe, (the content is good...when available).

I subscribed to PoserWorld and PoserStyle. The emphasis is in the past tense. PoserStyle can't be counted on. You never know when you can access the site, and they don't respond to customer service inquiries. Some of their stuff is defective, and has never been fixed. Money is tight for me right now, and unfortunately, I can't bring myself to join any Poser subscription site.

I long ago didn't resubscribe to PoserStyle. I saw mention here that they still support M2, V2 figures and that may be now but at the time that I left them, they were onto the Gen3 figures seemingly exclusively and between that and the server issues, I didn't see the point. Also, I found that some of the clothing items are chunkier than I think they should be. The clothes seem to be not quite form fitting. POSERWORLD is a GO! Renewed Gen2 figure support (M2, V2) and high marks for consistency - both in products and in online shopping experience. Dave

I subscribe to both PoserStyle and PoserWorld. I consider them both essential to my Poser needs. Yes, Poser style does indeed have some server issues, but they usually get ironed out. Guy

Good quality releases and items. Ridiculously unprofessional customer service, frequent site problems, and an apparent total inability to take the business side of things seriously. I was a member of Poserstyle and got totally fed up with them and their poor customer support. I still use many of the products I downloaded from them, however, and I've got no complaints about them, but I didn't renew and have no intention of doing so in the forseeable future due to the lack of customer service and many, many other problems. bonni

Thanks for all of your replies and help. Since most of you state that the quality is good, but service is bad, I figured that even the content available now is worth the price already. Also I figured that I should be able to download within six months. If they release something new or not within those six months, doesn't really matter to me. It would be nice, but if not, the content there already is worth it. I went ahead and subscribed and as soon as I got my details. started downloading. Now only a few days later, I was able to download all of the content at the site, no problems whatsoever. I've checked out some of the content and create a scene with it. The quality is very good and up to now everything looks as desired. Especially the scenes are just great, easy to use, lot's of camera positions and light settings with it too. I'm a member at PoserWorld too and am very content with it, but I must say that the PoserStyle quality is even better then the PoserWorld quality. I really didn't expect that. The two together give me a wonderful library of poser content.
