Agent Smith, That's 'what it is'! down to the ground and back up again! right arm! err something like that! anyway it looks great - I assume those will be pressable selections? You could embed your site name or other words in the same way and there ya be! Cool-a-mundo! - TJ

AgentSmith, those materials are awesome. How do you get the material to look like that in your first pic? Is there a tutorial somewhere? -T
AgentSmith posted Fri, 09 July 2004 at 12:18 AM
It's not truly the materials...
The reflection and overall look is a fake "hdri" workaround done in bryce.
(realictic relections/transrencies/refractions)
I am working on a basic how-to (or rather how I go about it), tutorial.
July/first week of August is a crazy/busy time for me, but I'm gonna promise to get up my first tutorial on this up in the next couple weeks. (an absolute step by step guide, every setting shown)

I like bikermouse's suggestion of pressable selection. Or it might be fun if the spheres were suspended in mid-air, and drop down into the 'oles when clicked on. So many possibilities, so little time........

Cool, will look forward to it. I'm pretty busy myself too so I know what you mean. I'm interested in how to get those types of textures that you have on the cube and balls. :) -T

simplistic but amazing---the textures are phenomenal. This would be awesome if it was part of a website, like pogmahone said, endless possibilites if they were turned into animated buttons or something in flash. keep it up!

Attached Link: LINK
Materials can have a radically different look per their enviroment BUT, the .mats for the floor and the sphere on the right are "Adamite's", and they are available for download in the Bryce Backroom at the link. The sphere on the left anyone can make. It is 2 spheres, the one in the center (the smaller one), just has the basic Bryce mirror mat on it.
The larger, surrounding sphere; use the Bryce preset "Bumped Glass #2", and set the refraction index to the magic number of 76. This will make it look hollowed out. (AgentSmith secret) ;o)
