Check this website out http://www.artvps.com/about.ihtml?page=overview I am tempted to abandon Carrara for Aliaswavefront|Maya. Eovia would need to take the next step to 64bits CPU with AMD and realtime Renderer machines to keep Carrara alive. I think Nvidia will try to match with this company. There is no brenchmark tested between them. http://film.nvidia.com/page/gelato.html#cinema I am really so excited to have little or real time renderer in next year or two!

you figure in the next couple of years our processor speeds will prob be close to 10gigs...were at 4 now...it should be interesting... i like Carrara, and its good for what i use it for, but i suppose if youre wanting something industry standard then Maya would be the way to go...im also tempted by Truespace... itll be interesting to see how C will keep itself competing, so we arent easily lured away...

I probably would have been using Cinema 4D if I had never heard of Carrara.
