Hi, IM, jus't curions, running a dual G5 with 2.5 GB of ram, I was wondering what is the bigest file size you have sucessfuly work with in poser, I mean a usable (not laging for 30 minutes...) ? Does some one have more than 4GB of ram here and have seen huge performance boost in huge (more than 400 MB scenes) ? I have a workable 533 MB scens... pushed to 640 MB pz3... with a lot of lag !

blimey!!!!!! well i save everything in PZZ, makes things a loooot smaller... an average pz3 with V3 clothes tex's etc will usually be about 25mb.. PZZ makes it about 3mb

I work with 120 meg characters sometimes. There's usually only them and 2-5 meg clothes on them. PZ3's... I would have to say at around the same size, 100-120 megs. I have 1 gig RAM on a 1.4 AMD. Nothing compared to what you've been running... still don't know how in the world you'd get it that far... but neat. ^_^ I've since sized down most of my stuff due to me wanting that hard drive to have space for stuff.

My last work posted a few minutes ago was a pz3 of 198 Mb. 1 hour 10 minutes rendering in Poser Pro Pack

'Numbers' in my gallery was a 479Mb pz3 and rendered after a LOT of thinking about it on a P3 800Mhz machine with 1Gb of RAM. Unfortunately I didn't save the pz3 so I can't compare performance on the machine I now run. (P4 2.4Ghz with 2Gb RAM.)

Er... yeah, I forgot the data. My machine is a AMD(P4) 1.8Ghz with 768 Mb of RAM (at the end of this month I will have 1 Gb of RAM, a small patch of maintenance in boxes). I supose then I will can work with pz3 files up than 200 Mb. The next patch will be a 2.4 processor... the Neverending Upgrade History
