Give me a pic, and if it's not difficult, I'll create one.

hmm..I've seen some that look like question marks..I think they're actually pretty basic, since for the most part they were copper, then bronze..Daz 3d had an Egyptian set that came with one of the versions of Daz Studio, but I don't know if there's a sword in it or not..an internet search should turn up something..

I found a pic at this link after a very quick web search (not much in the way of hits.) Is this what you're after?

Most of us Wings modellers would be beating each other off with sticks for the chance to do some practice sword modelling!! I have a book on ancient warfare, I'll root it out and do some scanning later today, maybe post some pics if I find any decent ones.

Like this? Its called a khopesh (also spelled khopsh). This is just a rough model to test the shape.

Here's a better pic of that scimitar and a few other ancient Egyptian wepons. This link: http://www.argoth.co.uk/acatalog/Egyptian_Weapons.html has some spectacular examples of ornate Egyption knives and swords. The blade design is worth copying even if the handles are impossible. I'm going to have a go at the scimitar, it looks like a cool project to try. The knives are way out of my beginer modeling league.

sd, I seriously doubt Egyptians had handles like those at argoth.co.uk. In my opinion, they would interfering with comfortably holding the weapon. And the blades... Actually, they look quite like those "fantasy" knives I used to see in shops. Ornamental and nothing else. Ah, I was right: Argoth - Gothic: Fantasy weapons: Egyptian Weapons The first link is much more useful for the real Egyptian weapons. Thanks.

that falcon knife certainly is a popular item. its all over the web.

"Forged with the power of ancient Egypt, this fantasy style knife features an intricately detailed cast metal handle of Horus, the god of light in Egyptian mythology, who is the symbol of the rising sun and renewed life."

"brought to you by United Cutlery" .. is nothing sacred.....

Gotta Roll folks. here is the link to the Bryce 5 version of the sword. [ "Egyptian Scimitar"](http://www.renderosity.com/artistdownload.ez?fileid=12652&key=791129) The object consists of 4 objects as shown in the picture. Each can be textured differently, just keep them grouped afterward.
