Is it not possible to use an imported dxf as a negative boolean object? I'd have sworn I've done it before, but now it isn't working. I'm in Bryce 3D in Win98. I've got a dxf set to neg, a cylinder set to pos, and the two objects grouped. It works fine with any other object, but not any of the dxfs I've tried. Any thoughts? - taerin

Be sure that the DXF file is a solid object. If it is a surface, like the poser figures and many comercial meshes are, that it will not work well when used as the negative or intersecting object.

Ok, my brain was obviously missing when I posted this... I forgot to check 'solid when boolean rendering.' sheesh... thanks for the suggestion! :-) - taerin
