Subject: Fremont Faeries = Hardcore *WARNING: NOT FOR SQUEAMISH*

I think I've made it somewhat clear that from time to time, faeries inhabit Fremont. I also think the photos I've taken (such as the Trolloween photo from a couple years ago of the PMS Fairy) make it equally clear that these are not your ordinary shy, skittish, retiring faeries. No no ... the faeries that Fremont attracts are anything but that. Case in point, the subject of the above photo. So cute, So pale, so small, so fragile. The sweet, mischievious little smile. She'd probably be a good example of a classic fairy .... . . .

Eeeekkk.... Ok I thought she was real cute until I saw the second photo....

Gotta wonder now if those pasties on her nipples aren't stapled there.....? gulp!

You're not the only one. I only did my eye, and only had that until my baby tried to pull it out, but it was nice :)

This pretty young lady was with a group of performers known as Pure. These guys are performance piercers (think I just made that phrase up). They do things like suspension piercing (hanging on hooks and the like). I have some other shots of these guys. One that I am almost up to is probably one of my favorite shots from the event. It shows hooks in this guys back while he is at rest (no tension on them). I just like the way it came out. I'm still trying to decide if I will post it or not. -=>Donald

What's strange is that I can look at images by Joel-Peter Witkin (body parts, cadavers in strange poses), and love them..... But when I see needles, hooks etc. piercing live flesh, the hair on the back of my neck rises and I get totally freaked out by it....
