Okay, I downloaded an absolutely beautiful texture here in the free stuff section. I'd love to use it for a character (completely non-commercial, of course), but I haven't a bloody clue of how to convert it from a JPG to a mz5 file. I didn't have this problem in P4, and I'm getting REALLY frustrated! Please! Help! I'm about to reduce my computer to smoldering slag and I just know I'd miss it eventually!

You don't have to convert it. You just go into the material room and load up the jpg with an image map node. I can't recommend strongly enough that you read what the manual says about the material room and how to use it. You don't have to read all of it, but make sure you get the basics and then read about the image map node.

Ta. sheepish I got used to being frustrated by the Poser manual, so I generally don't bother with it. The forums on here are MUCH more educational. ;)

It may not alway seem like it, but this is actually a very friendly forum - you wouldn't believe how often you'd hear the "RTFM" answer to similar questions in other places...

I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)
