O.K. I select both shapes, I Otion/Alt click on one of the the points of the shape that I want to subtract...
But my problem is that the point never turns yellow, so the subtraction never takes place. Im I missing something?
Thanks to anybody with an answer. Yes I am running Carrara 3 with the latest patches.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Can you post a screen capture? -Kix

Are you using select-tool or move-tool while option/alt clicking? You must use alt/option move-tool (probably almost any other than selection-tool will do) to select the yellow point. I didn't manage to do it either when I was starting to work with Carrara. -Hannu Kulju

The keystroke is Ctrl+Alt click (Windows) or Command+Option click (Mac) - if Option is the equivalent Mac key to Alt.

My bad. I misread the dialog box that came up. I was not holding down the Command key, only the Option. It works. I am dumb butt. Thanks everyone.
