Well you probably dont need to hear this but I tried it and it worked for me. :( Try making sure you have the latest version of winzip.

Change the file association. It looks like the .mat extension is being used by that MS Access thing too. Either that or try opening them from within Bryce.

Also feel free to browse my freebies at ShareCG.
There might be something worth downloading.

Yeah, my 'puter does this too. Have Microflacid's Oriface 2000 installed and all the Bryce mats I have unzipped look like this. No worries though, they import just fine for me.

You simply haven't installed them in Bryce. You can't 'open' these files - I have this association too. Open Bryce. Open the 'EDIT' drop-down. 'IMPORT' these files....

What he said... Bryce is still windows 95. You can't click on a bryce object obp file tree file etc. and have bryce open it either. In fact the only filetype that opens that way for me is the bryce scenfile br5. You need to import materials into the user material files. The faq at the top of the page tells how to import or you can just click on the link and go down to the 4th entry.kiwi_gg posted Fri, 16 July 2004 at 11:17 PM
Right on guys, I imported into to Bryce and they opened OK. Thanks for all the help folks. Cheers GG.

This sounds weird but I am dying to know what the GG stands for.

Oooh, life is full of little Mysteries. But just so you can get back to focusing on your renders, its actually my initials. I think what happened is that when I registered with Renderosity it would'nt accept just "kiwi"as a nickname so I added the underscore and my initials. So there you go,no biggie,no intellectual or artistic meaning to it ,just simply little ol' me 8-). Cheers GG.
