Hello everyone, I just got poser 5 and i have a question or two... can anyone offer any suggestions as to why i can't put clothing and hair on the characters? Everytime i try, it replaces the character with the chothing item. I did notice that some of the clothing items are in the "figure" tab, why is that?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! If you double click on a character symbol it will replace the current caracter. Use the symbols at the bottom of the libary to add something additional. Clothing in the character tab a indeed characters because they have different body parts too. If you move a characters arm the clothing character makes the same movement.

The clothes which are props like dresses etc are dynamic clothes and can only be used in the cloth room.

I've made a very very basic Poser5-tutorial. It's on my homepage :o) and it covers stull like how to dress a character and so on :o)

Hi, In poser 5 there are three classes of clothing. 1. conforming - these are in the figures libraries. You add them as a new figure and then from the figure pulldown menu do a 'conform to' the figure they are to fit. 2. Dynamic - these are made using the cloth room. You add them to the figure and run the simulation. They resond to gravity, wind and figure movement. 3. Props - these should be in the props library. These are usually things like hats, armor, jewellry etc. If you haven't yet read the manual at least skim through the major sections.

Dynamic hair doesn't export. There's a new plugin (from Greeenbriar iirc) that allows you to export dynaimd hair and clothes to 3DStudio Max, and I'm not sure if there's one that works for Vue too, but in general terms, you can't export dynamic hair.
