Yes, well you see, we Quois are called Frogs by the English Canadians. So with time, we came to like that nickname and made use of it in many posters and other stuff for Quois. ;o) There is a song by Robert Charlebois (Quois singer) that is "The Frog Song" and it says: "I'm a Frog, you're a Frog, kiss me, and I'll turn into a prince... suddenly..." loll France

Oh my goodness! I had no idea! I always thought being called frog was a good thing cuz frogs are so darn cute. Makes note to self to get clarification from husband as to exactly what he means when he calls her frog. hmmmmm Lonni :)

xantor: on the rare occasions when we actually call them, we call them Canadians, that's all. ;o) Lonni: I really don't know where it comes from though, that name for French Canadians, Quois and French from France. The English from England are called Blokes or SquareHeads but again, I don't know why. All I know is that we love to be called Frogs because we also think frogs are cute and in all the legends, frogs become princes. France

My surname (and therefore my husbands!) is French. My hubby, Del, used to be called Froggy at school, as does my son. No idea when the tradition of calling the French frogs started, but it seems like it is done in an amicable way nowadays. I am sure there are worse names to call someone! PS - I agree, frogs are well cute. There is a bunch in my mum's pond at the moment and I am sure they are fed up with me photographing them!
