Click on the demo marker then right click and hold anywhere on the interface and you get a menu at the top of the screen where you can choose marker size and colour. Perhaps everyone else knows, can't see it in the manual... windows2k by the way.

i also noticed something in the material, object and sky defaults or whatever you call those things. ctrl-click changes whatever selection you clicked with the current one. drac (doesn't know)
