The latest version is 1.0.1, the updater is hosted at the egroups site (mac & pc) in the files section. You need to join egroups, Carrara to access the file.

I've heard of 2.0 also...On the E-Groups list. It was a joke. Nothing new from the programmers. Except for the 1.01 updater like willf mentioned. Clint

Just now there is a really great discussion going on in the E-groups Carrara forum started by Antoine Clappier (Carrara's designer)about photon mapping and higher level realism in rendered images. It's really worth a read. It has a link (given below) to an informative page at Standford about photon mapping. The feeling I got is that Carrara 2.0 may well include an new engine to generate photo-realistic images utilising photon mapping algorithms to render radiosity and caustics.

i didnt hear about it on the post i read it in a e mail i recieved from someone responding to an update i was looking for i didnt think there was one(2.0) but now i know thanks everyone for the help im thinking of buying lightwave or mugging somone who has it how good is it really i like the fact theres alot if info out there on it and tut. unlike carrara
