Looks superb and very interesting! Regarding the nudity, I'm guessing that PRO-RENDER is a low temperature environment. ;-)

PJF, Of course it's a low temperature environment, not too sure about your processor staying so cool though, when you're using it ;-) OTHERS, Please be sure to look far enough BACK into the thread if you visit it, because quite a few images where posted. Len.

Pumeco, do you have a website where you work from? It would be a good way to host the final files of Pro-Render and display the images you've posted. Sorry, but paging through a 3-mile long thread just gets tedious after a while. If not, there are quite a few gifted web designers here on Renderosity, such as . . . ahem . . . myself ;)

It is looking great man. 8) I am getting (happily) anxious. Lol Wade

Based on my experience with Poser 5, I am guessing the pro-render relies heavily on the conjunction between materials and render settings. I've found over the last year that lights mean less than absolutely accurate materials combined with the proper render settings. For instance, I dumped "global" light sets in Poser a long time ago. I've found that proper materials properties go much further in making better renders than the most complex light setups in the world. Most of my work in Poser and Bryce now uses 3 lights, maybe 5.
This looks very interesting. I look forward to the release of Pro-Render. :)

wait, so is there absolutely anything new in this whole thing? because all you did was to quote an old thread... dra

Drac, we are dealing with a professional marketer here (without a website;) Of course there is nothing new, he's just creating hype. Check it out, he even clicked the nudity link to get more people to check it out. Pumeco, is there a release date yet?

He's added new stuff to the end of that thread he linked to - more render examples and things.

I see nudity in the thread he linked to at the top, hence the nudity flag. I must say, the renders he has shown are quite impressive. I have to wonder why there are no rendertimes included in the examples (that I have seen).

a professional bs.. nevermind.. i give up. BEST OF LUCK TO PRO RENDER! PRO RENDER! PRO RENDER! drac (joins the bandwagon)
airlynx posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 1:05 PM
Oh hell, I'm on the bandwagon as well, as long as he continues to support his offer of a free version of Pro-Render. (I'm broke)

Ugh...I'm still the cynic...all i see is Bryce native render effects with tweaking of material settings...which we've ALL been doing since we graduated from mirrored spheres over the ocean... Basically all it sounds like is that this guy has spent a ton of time figuring out exactly what settings produce the best effect...and it seems to me that his comparison renders are the basic Bryce render, WITHOUT any of the comparable render effects turned on... That doesn't sit right with me. Now...I'm fairly certain that most of the people who frequent this forum could sit around for maybe an hour tweaking things, and come up with renders that are equal, if not better, than Pro-Render. Now, i'm also fairly certain that i'm not one of those people...so...yes please.
