It's in today's paper in the IT ALIVE! section and it's only a very small filler/promo paragraph but it plugs the site anyway... The text of the article is as follows: ahem - squints eyes at the small article... "The renderosity site is something of a mecca for 3D designers. It opened in 1988 with just 50 members and has grown into the largest digital art community on the internet, with more than 280 000 registered members, 60 software and topic forums and 38 art galleries covering 58 genres. The site receives more than 237 million hits monthly and, with 314 000 images is the world's biggest showcase of digital art. See www.renderosity.com/ " that's all of it. no pictures or examples or anything but a plug nonetheless... cheers Sean

Renderosity has been mentioned in the Australian-published Degign Graphics, too (well worth reading, just FYI). The article was from last year and it was about Poser. Several sites were mentioned, including DAZ3D and Renderosity, and a few specific products were mentioned, such as Boris (for Michael). bonni

It opened in 1988... Considering that was a decade before many of these programs were even written, that shows quite some foresight. grin

Considering the Internet wasn't even available to the public in 1988, that's quite something.......heh. Settle, Xenophonz. We're not conquered by anyone - yet.

Are you an Aussie?
Some of my best friends are Australian.
If rating a blurb on page K27 of The Australian doesn't prove that a conquest has been made, then I don't know what would.
Seriously -- I've had friends from Sydney and Perth. So I've got both east and west covered.

Heh, if this fta with the US goes through, we may well be conquered. I'm in Hobart these days, but grew up in Melbourne and spent some time around the Newcastle area a few years ago.
