Everybody...meet our beloved Brycetech. And, what's that behind BT? Just a massive print of one of Orbitals renders. ;o) Today was rushed, I will be going back to the DAZ booth a lot, with many, many more pictures to come! Btw, I saw all you guys' pictures that BT printed out, beautiful! BT told me that is his main showpiece for Bryce, the album of renders. Big thanks to Brycetech for doing that, and just for being ridiculously cool! AgentSmith

They are ALL excited about Bryce, I mean really. Also, got to chat it up with Ken Musgrave, very cool experience, I must say. ;o) AS

That's a great picture Orbital! All the pictures that BT had printed out really showed what a great program Bryce is. AS - did you see the demo of Project Dogwaffle at DAZ's booth? I spent almost an hour taking to the creator of this program (I'm terrible with names and can't remember it now). Looks like a great progam for post work to Bryce renders.

Hi peggy. I believe rohi has used dogwaffle on some of his/her masterworks... so it's certainly capable... at least in the right hands!

A big hearty CONGRATS! from me as well, Orbital! You sure deserve it! smile

AgentSmith posted Thu, 12 August 2004 at 3:19 AM

I believe, only that one pic (from us Brycers here at Rendo) was printed that large, I bet it wasn't cheap at all, it's like 8x5 feet on glossy paper, and curved to boot! I'm sure DAZ will be packing it up and taking it home with them, lol. Project Dogwaffle - YES, it was being demo-ed at the DAZ booth. Sure, the guy really knew what he was doing, but I had no idea that program was THAT cool for being so inexpensive. I'm going to be bugging, er...working with our magazine (EricofSD) to interview DAZ and Brycetech about the new Bryce's that will be coming out. Were gonna try to get some info that we can actually repeat to the public. ;o) AgentSmith

Hey AS, it was great to see you again this year at SIGGRAPH. I see you got my arm in the picture above. Peggy, it was Dan Richie who created Dogwaffle. I didn't get to meet him this time around, but got talked into leaving him a ticket for SeaWorld. Hopefully he will be coming down to San Diego this weekend for a presentation on Dogwaffle. Doc Mojo was in rare form, and the demo of MW 3 has my mouth watering. When I asked him what we could say about it to the rest of the world, he said go ahead, no problem since it's now been publically shown. I have to say that MojoWorld and the latest graphics card from 3Dlabs make a nice combo. Thanks for all your work in updating the horde with descriptions of the exhibits and pics (you did get a full shot of me with you, Spike, and Doc). Maybe I'll be seeing you again next year...??? Stuie

Peggy_Walters posted Thu, 12 August 2004 at 10:26 AM

Where will Dan Richie be making a presentation on Dogwaffle? I live in San Diego and would be interested in seeing more on the program. I'm really disappointed I missed Doc Mojo. I made three passes through the exhibits but never saw any of the demos on Mojoworld. Oh well, next year... Peggy

Stuie posted Thu, 12 August 2004 at 10:49 AM

Pandromeda didn't have a booth this year. Doc was giving demos of the new release at the 3Dlabs booth because they have been working for a time together to develop a powerful graphics card that would help with hardware intensive graphics software programs. There will be a Dogwaffle presentation at noon on Saturday at the Art Institute Of California (by the intersection of 163 and Friars Rd, across from Hazard Center). It's sponsored by the San Diego Photoshop Users Group. Philip Staigler will present it, but at SIGGRAPH he was hoping that Dan would be able to come down. At this time it's still undecided as far as I know.
