The point is the texture. I believe he's trying to create a translucent skin texture.

Trying to do a skin texture with the dte alone is a toughie.

Twisted, would you mind to explaining how you do this, or is it maybe easier 4 you to post a file with that texture applied on a sphere, I would like to play with settings in it ! :)
