maybe somebody can help me with this one. i remapped eve and didn't know how to reimport her into poser. when i imported the new eve.obj file, she wouldn't have any bodyparts. just one fixed body! so i tried to work around, and put her into the geometrie folder, duplicated the *.cr2 file from the old eve, renamed it, and edited it to give the new path: figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:P4NudeWoman:NewEveV3.obj the problem is, that poser changes the file by "itself" back into the original one! let me end up with a mess. thats probably the reason why my new eve wouldn't map properly. could anybody tell me please, how to properly import a remapped figure? i worked my way back and forth through the online manual (poser4) leaving me back very frustrated, 'cause i didn't find any hints. did i miss something. any help would really be appreciated

If you have changed the path of the cr2 to point to the new object it should. However, if you've named your new object the same as your old one then you have to delete it's .rsr and let Poser build a new one. At least everything you said you did sounds right so that's all I can think of.

heyas; make sure you replaced that geom file line in both places it occurs in the cr2. open the body parts in the top half of the cr2 and make sure they all only have two lines; something to the effect of 'storage offset' and 'geomhandler.' if you see anything like 'geomcustom' and a huge list of vertices, that will be a problem. delete those and replace them with the two other lines (just copy them from a non 'geomcustom' body part, and remember to change the 'geomhandler' name.)

thanks a lot, bloodsong. i'll try with that. replaced till now only one line. hope this helps. the tricky thing is, i have no idea of this script files.... no clue what everything means... i just had the idea and tried. could you tell me what is the first part (top half) and why there is a bottom half? or is this kind of too complicated for a "3d-background-script-stuff-dummy"?

heyas; i dunno WHY there is a top and bottom half. that's just the way they made it. :) the top part is the geomhandler part, it tells poser where the obj file is and what body parts are which groups in that file. the second half is the channels part -- the rotation orders, morphs, scaling dials, and joint parameters are in that section. it tells poser how the body parts work. i also consider the 'figure' section a third section. it has the materials, the welding and add-childing going on in there. somewhere is an analysis of the whole cr2 file format... check the poser technical board here on renderosity for the url... or ask, somebody has it. :)
