If you dislike what Yahoo! has imposed on Webring, you now have a choice! Michael Wagner has begun a new Vue ring with Ringsurf, which respects your privacy. Check it out! :) Thanks, Michael!MikeJ posted Mon, 06 November 2000 at 2:09 PM
Cool. That sounds like a great idea. I used to have a Yahoo website, but I just couldn't stand it. Now, if I can only get my own website going! my ISP gives me 10 MB's, which is probably enough, though they have none of that "web building" stuff. Oh well. Thanks from me, too, Michael Wagner! Mike

Hi Varian, hi Mike! Sorry, I have deleted the ring again, because there is already the other one, which is quite popular. There was some trouble about it on the Vue d'Esprit eGroup, and the trouble was mainly my fault :-( You know, the others fear that the two rings are a concurrence to each other. Read the Vue egroup for more details about that, but please don't quarel about the topic Michael However, I think RingSurf is a lot better than Yahoo WebRing! So if you create a new ring on any topic, then I'd recommend to use RingSurf.Varian posted Tue, 07 November 2000 at 1:20 PM
Michael, I just want to say thanks again for trying to create an alternate choice for us all. It is sad when only a couple people veto something for all others. I think I will be looking for a new ring on Ringsurf, to avoid Yahoo's impositions. I appreciate you giving this a try at least.
