Well, I am off to the hospital on Thursday morning to have an operation. Believe it or not, this is the first operation I've ever had!! I didn't find the idea too worrying until last week, when the doctor decided that they're going to carry out **two** procedures at the same time! I've now started fretting about it, so to take my mind off things...

Don't anybody worry on my account - I am not ill, just having some ahem "lady things" investigated... I am just a born worrier ;-) I should probably do some yoga and relax!

Best of luck to you. How long you going to be in?

KarenJ posted Mon, 16 August 2004 at 12:00 AM

Thanks Jackson. Hopefully I will only be in for one night if all goes well. So as you see, I am just being a "whittler" as we say here in Sheffield ;-)

I'd be doing the same! Take care, hope that's the longest visit you ever have to have :)

Good luck to both you ladies! Remember that the sooner you complain about the thin sheet, the watered jello dinner, and the cold thermometer at o-dark-hundred in the morning... the sooner they let you out so you can scoot home and get the rest and nutrician you really need. ;)

Thank you all ladies, I am sure it will go fine. Esther - Dr Geep I could cope with, but imagine if NaySayGuy turned up! I think I'd run out of that hospital as fast as my little legs could carry me, hehehe ;-D

Welp, you should be home by now. How'd it go? Hope everything's good.

KarenJ posted Sat, 21 August 2004 at 4:44 AM

Thanks Jackson. It all went off okay and I was home yesterday. Slept 10 hours last night which is unheard of for me (usually I only sleep 5-6 hours) so the anaesthetic must have still been in my system, but I feel okay this morning :)

Sleep that knits up the raveled sleeve of care? Sleep is extra-appreciated by a body trying to mend itself!
