I stopped by Taruru's site to see if he's shown up as it's been months since he answered his message board and read the latest entry by a friend of his. It seems Taruru passed away on May 13 of this year. I wish I could say the translation is not good but unfortunately bad news gets understood :( Just thought the people here would like to know, sorry if this is OT.

Sorry to hear about Taruru. He made some nice stuff and was way ahead of many people with his Yui Manga character for Poser 4 (over three years ago).

This is another terrible loss for the community and my best wishes are with his friends and family. Thank you for letting us know about this, I have been checking his site every week or so but I never noticed that message before. Take care. SnowS

I'm really sorry to hear about this. Some of the first poser freebies I ever got, back when I first got into Poser, were a couple of his.

Indeed another sad day in the unreality that is Poser. Losing our brightest is difficult.

So sad to lose another member, seems like we've had a lot of losses in the past year. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

KarenJ posted Mon, 11 June 2007 at 11:00 AM

Not to be flippant, Marque, but Taruru passed three years ago.

EnglishBob linked this thread from inside another. Some weren't here when this thread was new, and some who were might not have seen it.  IMHO I don't think that there is a time frame about expressing condenses over the death of someone.

XENOPHONZ posted Mon, 11 June 2007 at 2:38 PM

No, there isn't a time frame.  But neither would I be signing the guestbook or sending flowers to the family three years after the funeral.

But that's just me.  Others might feel differently.  shrug  That's their prerogative.

Well it was only because Marque said that we'd lost too many artists this year that I said something. I didn't want to make anyone feel bad.

Thanks for clearing up why the thread surfaced again, anyway. I was wondering about that.
