Dark Places: The Back Alley. The 3rd installment in Stonemason's 'Dark Places' series. Realistic dark & dirty corners for all your darkest of renders. The Back Alley is presented as a figure with props parented. The back door, fence door and manhole cover can be moved independent of the main figure. In the Pose folder are 3 MAT poses for changing wall textures from grungy/graffiti to clean brickwork or concrete. In the Props folder are several miscellaneous Trash props(dumpster, garbage can, trash, etc). The majority of the textures are square/tile based. Looks great, does one have the ability to turn off walls etc... that aren't needed for the picture so they don't interfere with camera location?

This is so cool! I grabbed as soon as I saw it!

Well....there goes this month's budget!! :) This and Whispering Wall......great stuff Stonemason!

stonemason posted Fri, 20 August 2004 at 8:27 PM

Thanks all for the comments :) Farside..here's a shot showing all the material zones, you have many options for making walls etc invisible, also if certain parented props aren't in scene I'd recommend deleting them so as not to waste system resources. The alley itself is very wide too so moving cameras around is actually quite easy

As much as I love your textures, for some reason this really appeals to me untextured...gawwd your gonna get me in trouble going over to Daz so much..LOL!

estherau posted Sat, 21 August 2004 at 2:14 AM

this is probably a dumb question but does the back ally pak have additional things to the back alley, and do they load in the right places or do you have to put them where you want them? Love esther

Hi estherau The second image above shows all the props you get in addition to the alley, these props are presented in the centre,so you can move them however you like, The main figure however will load with all these props parented and placed in position, you still have full control over moving them, but it saves time in loading each one & doing the positioning yourself. -------------------------------------------------------- Features Figures: The Back alley.CR2(loads with all props parented) Poses: Concrete wonderland .PZ2 GrungeAlley.PZ2 Graffitti Off.PZ2 Props Bottle.PP2 Bottle Broken.PP2 Pellet.PP2 Pellet & Tyres.PP2 Pellet & Tyres 02.PP2 Trash can.PP2(With parented/moveable trash can lid) Dumpster.PP2(With parented/moveable dumpter lids) Billboard.PP2 Trash01.PP2 Trash02.PP2 Trash03.PP2 Tyre.PP2 Cigarette butt.PP2 Box.PP2(A simple cardboard box) ---------------------------------------------
