I am more a Freak than a Geek...but, I wonder does it have something to do with the intended "Release" of a "Super Patch", by the Micro Dotty Company, for all the on going problems with Internet Explorer. I read that this "Patch" would become available on the 28th. of August, 2004, through the Micro Dotty Download Center. However, I have also read other views, that if Internet Explorer was a Car, it should have gone to the Wreckers long ago....and, Security Advisor's are suggesting...."Get another Browser". Cheers....but, take nothing as Gospel....it is just what I read :]

I think anyone that got SP2 is having that problem. But I do notice it more in RR.

No SP2 Doug...just SP1 and updates...anyway...just d/l'd Netscape 7.2...working ok , can actualy see images..yippee. Not really a Netscape fan but will have to do until I can get IE6 fixed (if I can)..!

I'd ditch Netscape and use mozilla. Basically the same, but you get spared the superfluous addons etc.

Try this I offer advice on a tech forum and this is a common problem with many users with IE6 Most cases the problem is fixed by following the advice in the link. Some settings can change when adding security updates, this issue can occur with or without the new SP2 upgrade to XPPolski posted Sun, 29 August 2004 at 12:30 PM
Hello! Thanks for a link.I went through all options(even registry)but it did not help. I know one thing. When I check properties of any "dead" image I see this Type:Not Available Image size:Not Available Created:Not Available Modified:Not Available. Greetings.........Wojtek.........

Found a worm...w32usb2.exe...so much for Norton..!! http://www.sophos.com.au/virusinfo/analyses/w32forbotl.html Not sure if THAT did the corruption in IE ?? ok with Netscape now its config'ed...

jimry Norton like any software is not 100% and some things may get through, I think you will find that what does get through will be picked up in a full system scan, as far as I am told w32usb2.exe can turn off your anti virus software. w32usb2.exe is a new worm and there have only been definitions for it for it since 27/08 Polski If you are getting "Not available" messages then I suspect that the file in question is not there or has a broken link. As people have said that they notice it more on RR than other sites maybe the problem may be a temporary RR server issue that affects IE6 (html is a complex thing and inconsistencies can occur between different browsers) As a foot note this is not an SP2 specific issue I have had SP2 since its release and personally have had no issues. All this of course in just my opinion

Hello! Sometimes simple solution is very hard to find! I called today to Renderosity and they sent me e-mail about my problem: Subject:Red X problem Try the following, it usually clears these kinds of problem up: Log off from the site and close your browser. Check that your computer's time and date are correctly set. Restart your browser, delete all cookies and then come back and log into the site again. 99% of the time this will clear the red X problem. Thank you, Stacey Renderosity Store It happened that my date was incorrect! Now everythings is fine. Thank You all for help anyway! Greetings...............Wojtek........
