Well, I gave in and bought this neat program but it is no "play with it out of the box" program that's for sure L Do any of you know of some good tutorial for this program besides the Amazing Seattle Fractals one?

I got XD last week, and have yet to hunt tutorials. The help file does give some good basic information to get you started. I honestly don't find XD as complicated as as Ultra Fractal. It isn't an instant gratification program, but it really isn't all that difficult once you get the basics down. I would also like to find a couple of good tutorials! Miriah

Here's a link to a pretty basic one by Doug Harrington that I didn't find (amazing! lol) too hard to follow... http://fractalarts.com/ASF/XDtut1.html Rick

http://fractalarts.com/ASF/XDtut2.html here is one that might help you out I have the newer version probably like you do this one is the closes one you may want to ask Urchin , PannyH , Rykk, Fractalinda anyone who does xd work. good luck i under though that the help section in the program itself is one of the best ones. hard for me to say since I still can't get past step 1 lol..

Well, XD has a bit of a steep learningcurve. If you look in my gallery, you will find that about 80% of my fractals are created in Xenodream. If you want the .xep files of any of them to study and play with, just mail me at dirk.monteny@skynet.be and I'll send them over to you. Just ask away ;-) Mind you, I'm only about a year working with XD, so I certainly don't know all the answers.

Thank you all for your help. I know it will just take some playing and practice but Urchin, I may just take you up on that offer :)

You might try joining the XenoDream group at Yahoo. It's called Xenodraamers. There are several very good tutorials in the files section. If you need help with joining a Yahoo group, send me an IM and we'll figure it out. Welcome to XD. I'll be looking forward to seeing your work. Dennis
