3 different ones from this session I posted in the Photo gallery with better quality.
Taken with a digital Sony cam. Just thought I would share.

Looking mighty fine. Are you in macro mode for this and what is your camera?
striving posted Mon, 30 August 2004 at 7:19 PM
No Macro.. Camera doesn't have it.. It was a Sony Cyber-shot 3.2 MP. I was surprised how well they came out with that camera.

This looks like a big'un! It's hard to judge scale sometimes with a close shot like this one, but this Dragonfly looks to be over 2in. in length. The biggest ones I've seen were at an irrigation pond on my Uncle's ranch in Eastern Washington; dark grey and 4.5 to 5in. long and they sound like a model airplane when they fly by.

LOL @ Dan.. I would say it was about 2-3 inches.

I love the colors and the DOF. While we're in the photo-sharing mode, my dragonfly is not as nice as yours but allow me to share these others with you:
And this B&W, I had been thinking about getting rid of the cooperative building in the background:
And if you wish to view this photo album, be my guest.

Wow! Sambucus, that's a beauty! What pretty colors. That's also some closeup, you can almost see what it's thinking. ;)
