I hope I'm missing something. My life would be so much easier if I could pan around in the different views. If I select an object to move around, I'd love to pan around the scene so I could more easily see exactly where the object is being placed. As it is, I have to zoom in and out and hope the program centers on the correct object. (Think of Photoshop, for a great example of zooming vs. panning.)
