Some time ago, AS had a mat the made the edges of an object (or, at least a cube) black, while the rest of the object was white.

I'm using Bryce to lay out a plan for my new planter box (took me fifteen minutes with all measurements on graph paper... then I thought I'd do it in Bryce! Hours later...) Figured that mat might be better for printing out a schematic.

Nukeboy - when I want to show the edges of something I use Wings. I find Wings easier to do that kind of thing in, and easier to control size, shape etc. the finished image doesn't look as slick, but it's good for odd shapes like the attached. Here's a kinda scruffy screenshot to show what I mean. What I did was make my shape, then set the edges I wanted to show up to 'Hard' (in Preferences I had set the colour for Hard to red). You can also just Select By>Hard Edges, then take a screenshot. Sorry, I know it looks crap, but it may spark off some ideas.... :o|
