I downloaded PhilC's strappy 1, 2 & 3 shoes from props guild I think. Readme says to put them in props. I did that. My problem is how in the world do I get them to go on the feet? I have tried setting the parent to the foot it goes with but the shoe still hangs out in mid air. If I put them on the feet manually then the minute I pose the figure she loses the shoes. I must be doing something wrong here but just dont know what. Can some one tell how to make it so the shoes will automatically go on the foot and stay there everytime I add them to a figure. I have other shoes that automatically go on the feet but these dont and the strappy 2 shoes are about 4 times the size they should be. I am not sure why that is but I have to scale them down to about 60% to even begin to fit the p4 foot. Thank you in advance. :)

Position the shoes on the feet and then when you set the parent for them, make sure you have the "In herit bends of parent" box is checked. That should do it.

Thank you, I tried that and they still dont stay on the foot. Is there any way to make these a smart prop so that I can just click on them and have them on the feet where they are suppose to be?

Make sure you're parenting them to the right figure. Sometimes people will parent them to a dress or the pants instead of the main figure.

here you go, Jen. I made the shoes "smart" and in proper proportion. (Generally, the foot needs to be bended 45 degrees and the toes -25 degrees. Also,in some instances, the toes need to be invisible.) Just click on the url and you're on your way! http://www.geocities.com/the_escapist_2000/shoes.zipJen posted Thu, 16 November 2000 at 1:17 PM

After you have parented the shoes to the nude figure(usually figure one if no others are present. you need to resave the shows as props. It will ask if you wnt to save them as a smart prop. Say yes. Froomthen on the shows will automatically be attached to the charcters feet. If that still doesn't do it6 for ya then something is wrong. Becausde that is the only way to do what you are asking short of editing the pp2 file in a text editor JanP
