Hi!
I have a question. Does anyone here know if there is either a demo for Poser that won't kill a slow connection or an older version of the program available that's free? I'd be really grateful if somebody could point me in the direction of either.
Thanks!

Poser Pro Pack demo is available at CL's site, it is a very limited demo and is time limited for 30 days, but it does let you get a feel for the program.

Getting a free version of Poser 3 from one of the arts magazines is prhaps your best bet if you have a really bad connection. There are still some free Poser 3 resources... characters and such... on PhilC's site and in the back of Free Stuff here (go to the end and work forwards). Clothing used to be painted on, not separate, so you are limited in being able to mix and match, however, you can get a feel for posing and animating on a timeline. The CuriousLabs website has demos and the pdf files for some of the manuals... but a limited demo is sometimes more frustrating than an older program. Either approach will give you a feel for the program, and a peek in the galleries will show something of what is possible when you decide to upgrade.
