Perhaps I should reclarify my comments since this is creating such a big fuss. Its not necessary to use big and inflated scientific language to indicate your purpose. However, I do think when you are asking for something related to your profession, you want to present yourself in a manner that best represents your intentions and your line of work.

The signal to noise ratio (if you're a real EE, you know the formula) here has really deteriorated. These attempts at deconstructing GoN2Gracleand's profession, his education, his grammar, etc. seem a bit like bashing the victim. "Well, OK, maybe he's not a pedo, but he should have..." None of us has any way of knowing whether or not this person is or is not a physician, whether he slept through English class or anything else. Even if he presented us with his sheepskin from Harvard medical, it still wouldn't prove that he isn't what some immediately assumed him to be. Some would still believe that if he had presented his query in Gray's Anatomy terms, once they figured out what he was asking for. All of this is ignoring the central conflict. The simple act of depicting pre-pubescent nudity either is a sin and a perversion or it isn't. Quibbles about whether it's in an art book or a medical book, whether faeries and cherubs are exempt, whether the artist has an MD or is illiterate do no more than obfuscate the point.

I hand wrote the robbery note saying, "Give me all the money, I have a gun."

But the stupid bank teller thought it read:

So she called the head teller. She said it clearly looked like "gub"
"No", I said. That's an "n" not a "b".

So after a while I guess we got a bit noisy, and the bank manager came over.
He thought the note said gun. But the lead teller got snippety over that. Being she had been an English teacher prior to being a teller. She said well even if it was gun, the sentence structure was child like.

I felt insulted with that remark and the bank manager sided with me, and ended the controversy by signing his approval to the note.
Which really angered the head teller no end, let me tell you.
But she bit her tongue because he outranked her.

She got me back by hitting the alarm.

Gluconeogenesis is the generation of glucose from other organic molecules like lactate, glycerol, and amino acids. Many 3 and 4-carbon substrates can enter the gluconeogenesis pathway. Lactate from anaerobic exercise in skeletal muscle is easily converted to pyruvate; this happens as part of the Cori cycle. However, the first designated substrate in the gluconeogenic pathway is pyruvate. The vast majority of gluconeogenesis takes place in the liver and, to a smaller extent, in the kidney. This process occurs during periods of starvation or intense exercise and is highly exergonic.

Gluconeogenesis cannot be considered to be an reverse process of glycolysis, as the three irreversible steps in glycolysis are bypassed in gluconeogenesis. This is done to ensure that glycolysis and gluconeogenesis do not operate at the same time in the cell. The majority of the enzymes responsible for gluconeogenesis are found in the cytoplasm; the exception is pyruvate carboxylase which is located in the mitochondria. The rate of gluconeogenesis is ultimately controlled by the action of a key enzyme fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase. Most factors that regulate the activity of the gluconeogenesis pathway do so by inhibiting the activity of key enzymes. Oxaloacetate (an intermediate in the citric acid cycle) can also be used for gluconeogenesis. Amino acids, after their amino group has been removed, feeds into parts of the citric acid cycle, and can thus generate glucose in this pathway.

Most fatty acids cannot be turned into glucose unless the glyoxylate cycle is used, the exception being odd-chain fatty acids which can yield propionyl CoA, a precursor for oxaloacetate. Fatty acids are regularly broken down into the two carbon acetyl CoA, which becomes degraded in the citric acid cycle. In contrast glycerol, which is a part of all triacylglycerols, can be used in gluconeogenesis.

Gluconeogenesis begins with the formation of oxaloacetate through carboxylation of pyruvate at the expense of one molecule of ATP. This reaction is catalyzed by pyruvate carboxylase. Oxaloacetate is then decarboxylated and simultaneously phosphorylated by phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase to produce phosphoenolpyruvate. One molecule of GTP is hydrolyzed to GDP in the course of this reaction. Both reactions take place in mitochondria. Oxaloacetate has to be transformed into malate in order to be transported out of the mitochondria.

Typically, the last step of gluconeogenesis, is the formation of glucose 6-phosphate from fructose 6-phosphate by phosphoglucose isomerase. Free glucose is not generated automatically because glucose, unlike glucose 6-phosphate, tends to freely diffuse out of the cell. The reaction of actual glucose formation is carried out in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum. Here, glucose 6-phosphate is hydrolyzed by glucose-6-phosphatase, a regulated membrane-bound enzyme, to produce glucose. Glucose is then shuttled into cytosol by glucose transporters located in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum.
