You can make the dreads a child of the head and delete the deforming channels that effect the head. There are several ways to add the new head to the P4 Man, which way are you planning? I'd be glad to help with this process if needed. This is the sort of thing we talk about on my PoserTECH mailing list: http://www.egroups.com/group/PoserTECH There are a few tutorials and a CR2 editor in the files ection (Get 1.51).TBKoen posted Fri, 17 November 2000 at 9:35 AM
I was planning to make a whole new obj. So just delete the original head, eyes and neck from the p4nudeman obj. and replace them with the predator head. And change the link to the obj in the p4nudeman cr2. I think it is possible to first create just the poseble head and carefully copy and paste the dreadlock codes from that file to the new predator file(Above). But that process would just be too stressfull. The cr2 editor sounds interesting but i can't seem to do anything at the e-group. I know i have to subscribe, but i can't get to the files or anything else. The options are displayed as text. Could YOU give me the cr2 editor? Koen.

What, you don't want to join? ;-) I can subscribe you by hand if you want, all I need is an e-mail address. Getting the dreads installed won't be that difficult. Like you said they can be inserted into the CR2. It's easier to create a poseable figure with the head and dreads, edit the deforming channels then copy and paste the sections into the other CR2. I've done this before with a skeleton figure. -JH.

I don't get this e-group sh*t. How does it work?
JeffH posted Fri, 17 November 2000 at 9:58 AM
You join and send your questions or replies to questions via e-mail. It's basically a forum through e-mail.

And where can I find the cr2 editor?
JeffH posted Fri, 17 November 2000 at 10:16 AM
On the main PoserTECH page there are links along the left side. CR2editor1.51 is in the Files section. Don't get 1.52, it still has a few bugs.

The files and the other option links are in text format. I can't click on them. That's what i have been trying to tell you.
JeffH posted Fri, 17 November 2000 at 10:27 AM
Did you subscribe to PoserTECH? The links work then.
TBKoen posted Fri, 17 November 2000 at 10:30 AM

I wish they had the mesh available ;-)
ScottA posted Fri, 17 November 2000 at 12:47 PM
Even if it was available jeff. I bet it would be too large to use. People who make Poser figures usually try to make the files smaller. MAX and Lightwave folks seem to think we are all running Daisy chained SGI's ;-) That's my biggest beef with the comic characters people make. They are just too large (over6meg.) to use them without getting behind the computer and push ;-) This is very nice work TBKoen. What program are you using? I don't know why. But it looks like a Cinema4D model to me. ScottA
