I am trying to make an "invert morph." Like the kind Koz makes for some of his hairstyles, so you can have the part on the opposite side, etc. I followed the directions in this thread:
http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12356&Form.ShowMessage=1835532
But I can't export the morph target. The "as morph target, no world trans" box is unclickable. "Spawn morph target" is also grayed out.
I did this once before, and it worked, but I can't get it to work now. What am I doing wrong?

...is the New Prop selected?
My poser likes to jump off the object and select a camera when I'm not looking. That would explain the "Spawn morph target" greyed out. But then, that isn't part of the mirror making process. I've never tried doing it that way. Neat idea.
As to the first prob...hmmm? Are you selecting the New Prop and then trying to export it? Don't know why that wouldn't work.

Yes, the new prop is selected. I can export it as an OBJ if I don't check "as morph target." But of course, then I can't use it as a morph target, because it's not in the right position.
This used to work. I don't understand why it isn't any more.
I tried reinstalling P5, and SR4. It didn't help. :-P

If you give me some more information about what you are mirroring, perhaps I can see if I get the same glitch. If Universe and the object are checked for export, the object should be in the right place, even if the as morph target isn't checkable.
To Irish: I added a link to the tutorial piece. Scroll down to reply #6.

I'm using MaleHair 5. I tried both Koz's remap and the one that comes with Poser.
I tried clicking "universe" too, but it doesn't work. Well, the morph exports and then loads, but it doesn't work correctly. It starts distorting the object along the y direction, instead just along the x.
ENGELKEN posted Sun, 19 September 2004 at 11:47 AM
The MaleHair 5 is so tempting, but it never works out well. Just the way it's made, even with Koz tex's.
If you are in the mood, list the steps you're using, one-by-one, and I'll try to figure out what's what. just load the MaleHair 5 by itself, not parented to a figure.
Sorry I'm not more help...you can see my best effort with the !@$%%%^ MH 5, farther down that same thread.

Oops. Have Poser 5. Don't use it much. Too stupid on my part, I suppose. I'll go have a try in Poser 5 and see if that's the prob.

Nope. Can't make it reproduce what it's doing for you. Doesn't look much better in Poser 5, though.
I would go with the Short Hair Revolution instead with the Bangs Back option.
But do list your steps if you want and I'll try to figure it out.

I'm following the directions in the post you linked to in Message #5 above.
I just tried with PP, and it worked. I still couldn't check the "as morph target" box, but checking the hair and universe worked. (I tend to forget I have PP these days.)
I'm using the hair for a cartoon-type image, so plastic-looking is the effect I'm going for. :-)
I still wonder why I can't check the "as morph target" box, though.

I'm stumped. Can't make my PP or P5 do what yours is doing. But, yes, the MH 5 is great for toons. eng
