Is there any way to control the fall off of specular highlights? The controls are quite basic as there is only specular intensity and specular size. I regularly get over brigt speculars because try to make them bigger but they end up too bright. Thanks

Just to clarify, do you mean bright spots/reflections on objects or bright spots from lights?

The bright spots from lights. The ones that are actually controlled by the two highlight settings in the material editor.
What I meant to say (what I wrote before is a bit unclear) is when I try to get larger specular highlights they often end up being too bright. Getting them to spread out without making them excesively bright does not seem to be possible. Does anyone have any solutions?
Thanks

Shonner makes a good recommendation in changing the highlight to a color that is similar but much darker than your object color. Also, I've had great luck with the Glare filter in "blooming" the highlights beyond the edges of the object. That tool is in the Filters portion of the property tray when you've selected Scene Settings. Good Luck!

Thanks for the help. I will try and post pics of what I mean (am in a bit of a busy move at the moment and my Gfx pc is not connected to the net)
