Gerhard, the B&W indeed with the digital noise is the better choice (just my humble opinion). Carlos.

Well my opinion is the B&W is a better choice.

Yep the B&W works for me too

I like both, but for me I love the color version :~)).... this is unusual in that I normally prefer BW. What I like about the color is the tones remind me of an old chrome slide film. For some reason the sepia toning isn't working for me in this... maybe without the toning?

I am, therefore I create.......

I agree thw color version seems more lifelike. Plus I can see the blur at the legs better. The b/w version is too crisp for me. Two for the bw two against! sorry about that. Bsteph

I'd prefer the color-version. Maybe that is, because I think he looks like Erich Honecker and those "old fashioned" colours add to the GDR-feeling?

I'd have opted for B&W before taking a real long look at the colour one. Given that the colour version has really muted colours helps add to the realism and gives an edge to the poor guys urgency running across the road. Sepia helps add nostalga and sort of melancolic feel to B&W, but in this case the original colour version does that very well anyway. As for the picture itself, you could enter it in Sept Challenge, I can't help thinking "what happened next?" Did he make it OK? Excellent composition ty

B&W by far. That style of picture begs to be B&W, if you ask me. Joe

B&W my friend :)))))))

JordyArt posted Sun, 26 September 2004 at 5:37 AM

Hmm. In the colour one he seems to blend into the background a lot more than he does in the B&W one - there he seems much more 'real'..... B&W, imo. (",) btw, dontcha just hate those people that put MASSIVE titles on and totally screw up yer screen?!? he he he
