I have and am wondering if we who just brought this 29.95 dollar offering will get the poser sets as well.. anybody know anything more? Or do we only get the poser stuff if we get the complete bundle..??

According to the 3DStarterBundle.pdf file which is on the DAZ product page, you only get the Poser versions with the full Starter bundle, not the Content bundle. However, that document is so full of errors and confusion that I don't know whether to believe it or not. DAZ have been asked and I'm waiting for a reply at the moment.

Let us know when you know more. I don't care about Bryce, DS or the platinum club, so the full bundles don't interest me. A Poser compatible version of the Content bundle could tempt me, though.

taken from the pdf

It says yes you will get the poser format free next week "If you buy the 3d Starter Bundle, Not only do you get the POSER content for everything contained in the 3D Starter Content, but also for all the free content that comes with Daz|Studio."

"If you buy the 3d Starter Bundle" (my emphasis)

But, it doesn't say that if you buy the 3D Starter Content you will get anything; DAZ themselves seem to be confused between the Bundle and the Content.

Consider the PDF carefully:

Under the heading "Here’s a list of everything you get in the 3D Starter Content", you actually see a list of what's in the 3D Starter Bundle, including Bryce 5.

Under the heading "Here’s a list of the products including [sic] with the DAZ|Studio application", you actually see a list of what's in the 3D Starter Content Pack.

That's why I find it hard to believe anything in that document, since it obviously wasn't checked before it went out. The pictures show items that aren't included in any of the bundles. I could go on. I won't. :)

The poser version of the 3D starter content will be given to all those who purchased the bundle products and the 3D Starter Content product. JGreenlees Daz Forum Team

Excellent news. Thanks for clarifying that.

Does that mean that Poser versions will be provided for the Starter Bundle and all the bundled content with Studio, including the original Egyptian and High Fantasy content as well as the new content added to the latest release of Studio?

I hate being nitpicky and moronic. But I hate feeling confused even more... especially when it comes to buying stuff.

Stormrage, please forgive me, but your sentence is still a little ambiguous. Taken literally with the emphasis on "and", the sentence appears to say a customer needed to purchase the Starter Bundle as well as the Starter Content to receive the Poser content.

Logically, that doesn't make sense, but some poor idiot had to point it out and I'm loose from my villiage right now.

So, to make it absolutely clear, just answer yes or no to the following question:
Will customers who only purchased the 3D Starter Content receive Poser conversions of all the items?

Sorry to be the resident PITA.

checkin on that rreynolds and Tyger give me a few to get answers :)

Stormrage posted Wed, 22 September 2004 at 4:26 PM

All of the 3D Starter products (Bundles and Content product) will be getting the Poser conversions of the items.

However, the base DAZ|Studio content, the items that are included for free with it, will not be converted into Poser files. High Fantasy stuff you can find in the Daz Store.. (they started out as Poser items) and the egyptian stuff, is in the Plat club if i remember right.

Stormrage, you're my new hero. :) I asked that on the Daz forum and got the PDF shown me as answer, but was still anxious in case we were both misreading it. The reassurance is most welcome.
