I've been getting the following error message for a while: "Unable to initialize python properly". Does anybody know what causes this? I haven't had to use any scripts since it started, so don't know if it will be a problem. It doesn't seem to affect regular Poser usage, but it would be nice to know how to correct it.

Haven't seen that error. Just now I tried renaming the file that seems to be the core of Poser's python system (python15.dll), to see if that would give the error. Oddly enough, Python runs just fine without that file! When the poserStartup.py file is missing, which is fairly common, the error is like "can't open script for reading." Nothing in the Python DLLs and Libs folders is vital for startup; many scripts will work without any of that stuff. I renamed those folders, and had no error on startup. So I'd theorize that your problem is inside Poser.exe itself. :(

I get that error message frequently. Might be a memory thing, because re-starting Poser usually fixes it.

I get it all the time ever since I installed the latest Poser update. After installing the update, I started Poser up without rebooting my computer, but I rather doubt that could have caused the problem. I think that I even uninstalled and reinstalled Poser and the error message still occurs every time I start Poser which indicates that the problem is in a file that isn't part of the installation.

I never got that message before I installed SR4, either. So maybe it is related. I don't get it all the time. Just enough to be annoying.
